Your Congregation Can Smell the AI
Your congregation can smell the AI. I'm very pro-AI, but I've noticed how often it shows up in church graphics, design, and writing now. I can usually spot it quickly. That ChatGPT & Claude Design vibe is like our Instagram filter look 15 years ago. You see that tint right away.
This doesn't mean you should avoid it, but you should still use a human to improve it. For unimportant things, just run the model and use the output. But for really important things, use a human to review and enhance it.
I really like how Richard Taylor explains it (Watch at the 3:17 minute mark): your brain subconsciously sees CGI as someone who just hits a button, not someone who built something over months. You can tell. Not everyone can tell, but many can, and that will only increase in the coming years.
I love this breakdown because we all know bad CGI. It really devalues the movie experience. I feel the same about bad AI use. Also, there is good AI use, just as there is good CGI use in movies. Use AI strategically!
